訳Yakumi
Terms of Service
Effective date: October 24, 2026
These terms cover the Yakumi extension for Chrome, the translation server it talks to, and the website at yakumi.app. By installing or using Yakumi you agree to them.
1. Who we are
Yakumi is a brand of QuestLoom, a sole proprietorship in the Republic of Korea represented by Woojeon Jang. Full business details are at the bottom of this page. In these terms "we" means that operator. Contact: support@yakumi.app (privacy requests: privacy@yakumi.app)
2. What Yakumi does
Yakumi translates the text in comic and manga images that your browser already shows you, and draws the translation on top of the image. Translations are made by an AI model and can be wrong or incomplete. Yakumi is a reading aid: please don't rely on it where accuracy matters.
3. Age
You must be 18 or older to use Yakumi.
4. Your account
- You can use your first 20 pages without an account. After that you sign in with Google or with a link sent to your email.
- One account is for one person. Don't share your account or sign-in links.
- You can delete your account at any time: Yakumi menu (the Yakumi icon in your toolbar) → Delete account. If you have a subscription, cancel it first. You can also ask by email — see the Privacy Policy.
5. Pages, plans and the Page pass
- 1 page = one image. A very tall image counts 1 page for every 3,000 px of height.
- Free: 60 pages every month with an account (your first 20 pages without an account count toward the 60). Free pages refill on the 1st of every month (UTC) and don't carry over.
- Monthly plans (Lite, Standard, Max): your pages renew on each billing date and don't carry over. Plans renew every month until you cancel.
- 10% off next month: if you've used less than half of your plan's pages when we check shortly before your renewal, that renewal payment is 10% off, applied automatically. It doesn't apply to a subscription you've cancelled, and it covers one payment at a time.
- Page pass: a one-time purchase of translation pages that doesn't expire. It has no cash value, can't be transferred, and can't be exchanged for money.
- Small-print boost is included only with Max and the Page pass.
- A translation that fails doesn't use any pages. Re-opening a page you translated in the last 7 days on the same browser is free, and each page gets 2 free fresh re-translations (the ↻ button next to Show original).
- Each account can translate up to 300 pages per hour. If you reach it, Yakumi tells you on the image, and you can continue when the next hour begins.
- Current prices and page counts are shown on yakumi.app and in the extension. Prices are in US dollars. Where VAT, GST or a similar tax applies, it is included in the price shown; in some countries, such as the US and Canada, sales tax is calculated and added by Paddle at checkout. If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies from your next renewal after we tell you.
6. Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Paddle's own buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
7. Cancelling and refunds
- Cancel a subscription anytime: Yakumi menu (the Yakumi icon in your toolbar) → Manage subscription → Cancel. You keep your pages until your next billing date.
- Subscriptions: within 7 days of your first payment, if you've used 20 pages or fewer, we refund the payment minus payment fees.
- Page pass: within 30 days of purchase, if you've used 20 pages or fewer, we refund the payment minus payment fees.
- Within 30 days, if you've used more than 20 pages, we may give a partial refund for the share of pages you haven't used, minus payment fees.
- Renewal payments aren't refunded. Repeated refund requests may be declined.
- This doesn't limit any right to a refund you have under the law of your country.
8. Fair use
You agree not to:
- use bots, scripts or other automation to translate pages, or call our server other than through the extension or website;
- share or resell your account or pages;
- use Yakumi to get around paywalls, DRM or other access protection;
- translate images showing the sexual abuse of minors, or other illegal content;
- try to break, overload or reverse-engineer our server.
If you do, we may suspend or close your account. If we close a paid account for a reason other than a breach of these terms, we refund the unused share of your plan or Page pass.
9. Content and copyright
- The images you translate belong to their creators. Yakumi doesn't give you any rights to them.
- Use translations for your own reading. Don't publish or share them in a way that infringes the creators' rights. When an official translation exists, please support it.
- We don't store your images or translations on our servers — see the Privacy Policy.
10. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Yakumi running but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Websites may change in ways that stop Yakumi from working on them. We may change or remove features; if we stop the service entirely, we will tell you at least 30 days in advance, and you can keep using your plan and any Page pass until the service ends.
11. Liability
Yakumi is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Consumers keep any protection given by the mandatory law of the country where they live.
13. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date above. If a change affects paid plans or your rights, we will tell you by email or in the extension before it takes effect.
